Welcome to the city of bears; Bern, Switzerland. The name Bern loosely translates to Bear. Why bears? Well I’ll explain in part two…
Bern is the capital city of Switzerland and a wonderful city for strolling and shopping with many fountains and bridges.
So why bears…well, according to the local legend a Duke and founder of the city Berchtold V, vowed to name the city after the first animal he met on the hunt, and this turned out to be a bear. The bear was the heraldic animal of the seal and coat of arms of Bern.
Using the latest travel apps, technology, and gear, I take a city; see the sights, taste the food, smell the roses, hear the stories and feel the love. All in 48 hours. Then, using videography & editing, photography and writing I retell and share those stories with my readers and viewers.
